Monmouth Museum
Since its founding 50 years ago, the Museum has grown to become one of the largest private, non-profit museums in New Jersey, with four distinctive galleries where visitors of all ages can explore changing exhibitions and programs on art, science and history. Throughout the history of the Museum, our mission has stayed the same: to provide a destination for creative expression and life-long learning opportunities to the diverse community it serves. From exploring sea life to investigating weather, creating art with recycled materials, discovering works in all media by local artists, our exhibitions and programs engage visitors and inspire conversation and connections.
TEDxNavesink participants are invited to visit our exhibitions on view at the Museum - “The Society of Gilders Presents: Covered in Gold,” featuring fine art and decorative objects with gold and metal leaf in the Main Gallery, an under-the-sea exhibition in the WonderWing and “Ancients to Astronauts: How We Communicate” in the Becker Children’s Wing. Join us in our Nilson Gallery for an opening reception from 6 – 8 pm for NJ Emerging Artist Bill Ross’s exhibition of drawings. Enjoy refreshments, meet the artist and tour the exhibition.
