Founded in 2003, Red Bank Humanists is a nonprofit organization devoted to the philosophy of secular Humanism and is a chapter of the American Humanist Association located in Washington, DC. Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism and other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity. Red Bank Humanists promotes Humanism through various activities such as free and open monthly Forums with guest speakers that explore a variety of topics through the lens of Humanism. Our Forums are presented at the Red Bank Charter School, 58 Oakland St. in Red Bank on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Other activities include a monthly mixer, “Drinking Post-Theologically”; a quarterly philosophical Salon, a potluck dinner followed by discussions of Humanistic topics; our Community Outreach Group, volunteers collecting and distributing supplies needed by various charity organizations. Recently Red Bank Humanists has begun recording video of the speakers at its monthly Forums, which are free to watch and available online at www.redbankhumanists.org. Our annual membership fee is $30 for individuals or $45 for families. If you are a skeptic, agnostic, atheist, nonbeliever, freethinker, humanist, or just plain post-theological, then please join us.
Humanism is a philosophy for those in love with life.
